Restorative Yoga Workshop

The speed at which we all seem to live our lives these days – rushing to and fro with jobs and family commitments – leaves many of us chronically tired and stressed with very few opportunities to recharge our batteries.

This is where Restorative Yoga comes in. It is a deeply relaxing practice – there is no striving to achieve the perfect pose, no ‘working the edge’. It is simply an opportunity for deep relaxation and rejuvenation.

If you’ve been to even one regular yoga asana class then you will find the poses familiar. Your teacher Karli will guide you into each asana where you will be deeply supported by yoga props.

The session will also include yoga nidra, breathwork, and kirtan meditation for holistic nourishment of body, mind and soul. Finish with delicious bliss balls and homemade iced tea!

Limited to a maximum of 15 participants, book now to secure your spot!

2pm to 4pm Saturday 31st August
Casuarina Library Meeting Room
$25 per person, bookings essential

Taming the Mind

This half day workshop with internationally renowned Vedic scholar and meditation teacher Acharya Das, aims to address one of the root causes of discontent and lack of peace in our lives – the mind. You will discover the knowledge and a simple process which will help lead you to a journey back to inner peace and happiness.

The guided meditations and wisdom will introduce you to a peace of mind which is not in any way dependent on what is happening in your life. This inner peace can become a lifeline when life gets challenging and a means to transcend limitations and fulfill our basic human wish for genuine happiness and fulfillment. By developing this inner quality through meditation and mindfulness, we will gradually improve our day-to-day happiness, begin living our best life – being true to who we are, and naturally become more beneficial to the lives of those we love.

This workshop will include two sessions of a mixture of talks and guided meditations as well as opportunities to ask questions and discuss the topic.

There will be a break in the middle for afternoon tea and a chance to meet other like-minded people. The workshop is very suitable for beginners but also those who have been meditating for a while and would like to reflect on how to deepen their practice.
